Blog post re-share: You Are Amazing

It’s so easy to overlook yourself and this post serves as a good reminder for us. 🙂

Letitgocoach

I’m truly enjoying the November Soul Reset.

Day Three is talking about gratitude, but not just the proverbial list. It asked me to thank myself.

To say ‘thank you’ to me for being me.

Consider the last time you felt thankful for yourself. Really genuinely. Not because someone told you to. But because it just dawned on you. It just dawned on you that you are pretty amazing. ~SC Lourie

This is rather profound. When I think back of all the things I’ve been through, I tend to thank God, and that someone who stood by me during the storm. I cannot recall if I’ve ever said, “Thank you Barb.”

I encourage you to take a quiet moment with you. Sit with a warm cuppa, and thank you for being there for you. When you think of who you love most in this world let it be you. You…

Blogger recognition

I have received a “Blogger Recognition Award” from Kaya, over at “Lifestyle Adventure Beauty” blog.

Blogger Recognition Award

Thank you, Kaya for the award.

This is the second time I have received this award. The first time was back in September 2016 and I am very happy to accept this award again.

Here are the award rules:

1. Thank the blogger who nominated you and provide a link to their blog.

2. Write a post to show your award

3. Give a brief story of how your blog got started

4. Give two pieces of advice to new bloggers

5. Select 15 other bloggers to nominate

6. Comment on each blog to let them know you nominated them and provide a link to your post.

Why I started this blog

This blog originally started, because I needed to write for therapeutic reasons. It became my outlet for releasing whatever I was feeling inside. Those who have followed this blog mostly during this blog has been running, will know how much I have grown, for the better.
Blogging is not as much therapeutic, as it was at the beginning, due to how I am for the better, but I enjoy blogging and it’s nice communicating with fellow bloggers.

Two pieces of advice for new bloggers

My two pieces of advice remain the same, as originally posted before, when I received this award.

  1. Be you. Being you reflects in your blog posts, helping your readers to get to know you and vice versa. This then reflects in your posts.
  2. Passionate. Write something that is passionate to you, or what you like, whether it be something on a personal level or a hobby you would like to talk about and share. By writing about something you are passionate about, you will continue to write about it, without it feeling a chore and you will enjoy it. Blogging is fun after all.

The next is to nominate 15 others for this award. Nominating others is not some I do now, because I find a majority don’t do it. So instead, I will just leave this open to readers/ bloggers who would like to accept this award. If you do accept, then either leave your post in the comments section of this post below, or if writing on your blog, then linking to this actual post. It must link to this post itself, for a chance for me to see yours.

Blog post re-share: Anxiety “Hot Spots”

Here is something that is visually helpful. Although I am aware of these anxiety hot spots, I have never seen it presented this way before, which makes it better reading, I think. 😊

Living Resiliently Blog

When I get stressed (as I am right now. I’ve been having them more frequently like I did in my childhood) my stomach hurts so much…as if I’m about to develop an ulcer or something. When you’re in the heat of the moment, it’s hard to tell how “tightly” you are clinching the rest of your body….until after the fact. So how do you unwind yourself after undergoing such a stressful moment, especially if the stress is still causing your body deep discomfort?

Well, I found this online on “Instagram” in hopes that it well you as it’s helping me (I’m trying the letting go “of gripping in your stomach” right now. It feels good, but my stomach hurts!). Also if you have a picture to “see” where the pain is, instead of just feeling it—’cause sometimes feeling it makes it well…worse—it can help you better tend to your pain…

Blog post re-share: “Mental Health or Mental Illness?”

I mainly say “mental health,” as I don’t like saying mental illness for some reason. (Maybe it goes back to my childhood, when my mum had her breakdown, that I don’t like it.) But over in this post, that Katie written, at her blog, “How I Killed Betty,” I like the word, “emotional health.” Click here, to take you to her blog post, for more read on this topic.
